Construction of Agua Carioca pilot starts onsite at Sitio Burle Marx
The pilot project will be composed of four elements that form a closed water cycle: a toilet, a septic tank, an organic filter and a cistern. It is a micro decentralized water treatment unit using constructed wetland technology to purify the water. The project is in keeping with the legacy of Roberto Burle Marx, who was a pioneer in the field of nature conservation and biodiversity protection.
It will accompany 2 exhibitions: one at StudioX in Downtown Rio and the other one in the atelier of Roberto Burle Marx on the Sitio Roberto Burle Marx.
