The Berlage Keynotes: OOZE

On Thursday, 25 February, OOZE was presenting at The Berlage Keynote Sessions Spring 2021, a thematic seven-part seminar series entitled 'Architecture in Civic Service'. Eva Pfannes and Sylvain Hartenberg gave a lecture on 'Building Planetary Capacity' and talked about our international projects and approaches.

This lecture presents the most recent work of OOZE. Working across scales, from temporary art works to regional strategies, the cyclic closed-loop processes found in nature are the foundation for each of OOZE’s interventions and integrate the human scale with a comprehensive design vision.

The Berlage Keynotes is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts present how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. This spring semester, speakers include Christ & Gantenbein, OOZE, Francesca Torzo, Manthey Kula, PRODUCTORA, Anna Puigjaner, Vector Architects, Kieran Long, and Diener & Diener.
