Designed Living Environment 2020, Sweden

Featuring the project: Future Island

On 3rd September 2020, Ooze founders Eva Pfannes and Sylvain Hartenberg spoke alongside long time artistic collaborator Marjeta Potrč at the Gestaltad livsmiljö 2020 (Designed Living Environment 2020) conference, organised by ArkDes, the Swedish National Centre for Architecture and Design.

Under the theme of Powers and Possibilities, they presented the project ‘Future Island’, an island of stones, a pioneer landscape in evolution over the next 100 years. It is a micro-ecosystem, a biotope of plants and animals that constantly adapts to the slowly changing conditions projecting live a +5 °C environment on part of the island. The island is a witness of a possible future that can still be changed.

The discussion with Eva, Sylvain and Marjeta starts from minute 22:00. Presentation is in English.
